BK MD Dr. Morteza Shahidzadeh met with his counterpart, Mr. Xie Xuezhi, ADBC Chairman, following the Int’l Forum on Financial Services and Poverty Alleviation, hosted by Agricultural Development Bank of China and the 68th APRACA Excom Meeting in Beijing on June 6, 2017. 

According to PRICD report, during the meeting, Dr. Shahidzadeh, accompanied by Board Member Mr. Khodarahmi, expressed his appreciation for the proper organization of the two events and announced BK’s willingness to start close cooperation with ADBC leading to realization of the two banks’ strategic goals and objectives.  

Appreciating BK’s performance in microfinance and highlighting BK and ADBC similarities in various aspects, ADBC Chairman Mr. Xuezhi described Iranian government’s support of the agriculture sector in line with BK initiatives as one of the best models for poverty alleviation and development of the sector. 

Underling the promotion of mutual ties between the two civilized and hard-working nations of Iran and China, Dr. Shahidzadeh’s suggested that BK and ADBC experts meet in near future to identify the fields of cooperation and start finding the best practices to pave the way for realizing the missions of the two banks.  The meeting was followed by ADBC chairman’s agreement with the suggestions and exchanging gifts of appreciation.
