Known with its Green Banking Project, Bank Keshavarzi acticely attended the 14th International Environment Exhibition held in Tehran, Iran on February 21 to 24, 2014. The exhibition, focused on the two approaches of inclusive growth and sustainable development, was highly welcome by many environement-related companies and institutuins from different fields of activities including industries, mines, medicine, processing industries, petrochemical productions and finance.

During the four-day exhibition, the bank's green activities, the project's achievements, the activities of BK Center of Excellence on Women Empowerment, BK publications,… were intorduced to the visitors. Bank Keshavarzi stall was visited by Ms. Ebtekar, the President of Iran Environment Organization, in the second day of the event. Expressing her consent over the implelementation of a project related to environment by Bank Keshavarzi, She underlined green investment as one of the prerequisite of sustainable development, which must be taken into serious consideration by all public and private institutions.

 

Some other authorities of governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as the United Nations Agencies were among the high-ranking visitors of Bank Keshavarzi stall in the exhibitions. The visitors all highlighted the importance of the Green Banking Project and expressed their interest to develop mutual ties with the bank. Bank Keshavarzi, especifically the Green Banking Project team and Zanjan Green Gem NGO, as the bank's partner in the exhibition, were officially praised in the closing ceremony of the event.
