The 65th APRACA Executive Meeting was launched in Colombo, Sri Lanka on December 1, 2014. More than 60 participants from 21 member countries have attended the meeting which will be followed by a “Regional Forum on Adaptation and Mitigation of the Impact of Climate Change on Rural and Agricultural Finance”.
The event was officially opened by welcome and keynote speeches from Ajith Nivard CABRAAL, Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka, D. M. Gunasekara, General Manager of Bank of Ceylon, Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury, APRACA Chairman and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, and Mr. Chamnong Siriwongyotha, APRACA Secretary General.
Head of APRACA-BK Center of Excellence on Women Empowerment will have a presentation in the panel discussion on “Trends, Opportunities and Challenges in Addressing Climate Change through Rural and Agricultural Finance from the Perspective of Agricultural Banks and Commercial Banks.
